Agnieszka Polkowska is a designer, design curator, and educator with a Ph.D. in design. Her work investigates dynamics within and between natural and cultural systems. She is particularly interested in system boundaries — both material and symbolic — and how they shape relationships between organisms, environments, and cultural practices. In site-specific projects, she explores processes in living and non-living realms in environmental contexts to inform sustainable and regenerative practices. She is the Dean of the Faculty of Design at the Academy of Art in Szczecin, where she runs a speculative design studio blending research with experimental practice.  Agnieszka collaborates with academic and research institutions across Europe: Sustainability by Design at Folkwang University of the Arts, Technical University of Munich, Pomeranian Science and Technology Park Gdynia, and Hiscia Research Institute.
